This is a DIY Flycutter tool designed specifically for machining aluminium - creating wide flat surfaces with an exceptional surface finish. The tool works seamlessly with MT2, MT3, MT4, BT30, NT40, R8, and 20mm regular shaft. You can fabricate it out of aluminium (for cutting aluminium or very light steel) or from mild steel. You'll find the following files included: * Original modifiable 3D models in SolidWorks and STEP formats * BOM in Excel, featuring all necessary links, prices, and more * Photos showcasing the manufacturing process, final finish, and chips For me, the total cost for the entire project came in under 30 euros, including a specialized insert for aluminium. I utilized an MT3 tool holder 22mm from Banggood, an SCLCL1212 insert holder (for clockwise operation) from eBay, CCGT060204 inserts specifically designed for Aluminium from Banggood, and an Aluminium/mild steel ROD with a diameter of 80mm and length of 47mm sourced locally. For other shank types or insert varieties, please consult the Excel BOM included in the downloaded files.
