CNC Lathe Conversion - Vevor 8 x 14
thingiverse
This is a CNC conversion for the Vevor 8x14 mini lathe. No machining or milling is required for this conversion. The 3d printed parts are all bolted to the existing carriage and to the existing threaded holes. This also still retains the existing control board for the motor, but adds a new controller for the steppers and the sensors. I recommend printing all parts at 100% infill. I used PETG because of the chemical resistance. The 3d printed cnc version may not survive long when milling steel. I recommend limiting this machine to aluminum and hardwoods. This is designed to also use a quick change tool post, linear bearings, and ball screws.See the included assembly for the specific parts and components. The motors used in my build are dual shaft nema 23's so they can be moved by hand when needed. A full parts is included in the downloadable files. See the assembly for table and enclosure dimensions.
