I'm Evolving My CNC Plasma Cutter. The dimensions are set by the length of the 30x30 square tubes. 500 x 500mm works fine. However, if the tubes are too long, there may be a problem with rigidity. To reduce backlash in the Z axis, turn one of the two nuts face by face until it's minimal. Then use glue to secure the nuts in place. Needed: * 30x30 square tubes (aluminum or stainless steel) * 608 ball bearings * Nema 17 motors * GT2 belts and pulleys * EndStop parts from a 3D printer * M8, M5, M4 screws and nuts (standard length) * 8mm shaft for Z axis I'm looking to upgrade my plasma cutter. I've upgraded my CNC plasma cutter. The machine now has a better motor, which helps to reduce vibration. The square tubes are still set to 500 x 500mm, but I've added a coolant system to help keep the machine cool.
