CNC Hardening for Ramps Enclosure
thingiverse
I designed this "roof and filter kit" to harden the a mega+ramps enclosure against a cnc router environment. This kit is designed to fit the roomy and robust enclosure designed by iPa64. Here's the link in case you don't already have one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:831696 The filter and roof are secured to the enclosure using 6 of the original M3 bolts on the top and left or right sides (~4mm more bolt length is required). The sides of the enclosure are symmetrical. So you can mount the roof to the left or right side to suit either mounting orientation. The roof and filter fit over the enclosure panels, they do not replace the original panels. Building: Cut a rectangular piece of Scotchbrite brand scouring pad about 1/4" smaller in both dimensions than the spot in the filter part where it goes. Then cut the corners of the pad to clear where the bolt heads will go later on. Slide the pad down into the filter housing, then bolt the filter and fan lid to the top with 4@ M3 bolts. The top is then tightened down using 2@ M3 bolts on top of either the right or left side. *Supports everywhere is required for the filter housing*
