CNC gantry from Mendel i2 parts
thingiverse
Started this project early this year but abandoned it shortly after. This is an experimental CNC gantry made from parts from my first 3D printer, a Prusa Mendel i2 clone. I tried to re-use as many parts as possible, like bearings, motors, rods, etc. Rather than having the files just sit on my hard drive or in the Fusion cloud, I might as well publish them here. This is an unfinished project, but might get someone else started. Assembled using mainly M8 and M3 screws and nuts. A proper Z axis is missing, and the X carriage belt attachment is far from ideal. A redesign of the carriages for proper belt clamping is needed. At this stage it could probably be used for a small laser as an engraver.
