I'm designing a simple board to organize the wiring for 2 steppers, one each for the X and Y axes on my CNC machine. It also serves as a connection point for industrial endstops that are connected via 12ga wire. To build this board, I used terminal blocks similar to these (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077VMH97C), which I cut into sections of four. These blocks were installed on the board and on the stepper motors themselves. Then, I ran 4-conductor cable from MPJA (https://www.mpja.com/4-Conductor-Cable-25ft/productinfo/32551+WI/) between them, creating a secure and cost-effective setup. The screw holes on this board are all 3.5mm in diameter, allowing for easy installation of M3 screws. Additionally, #6 SAE machine screws can be threaded into the standoffs without needing a nut due to their secure fit.
