CNC controlled coil winding machine
thingiverse
Features: Can wind coils with a diameter of up to 12cm and the length depends on the aluminium profile, acme screw and linear slide that is used and can be as long as needed. I tested it with a winding speed of 500 to 250 windings per minutes without problems. Depending on the used main spindle motor (closed loop stepper or servo) it can be as high as 1000 windings per minute. Code: Download all .ino files. Make sure all files are in the same folder and uploade main_file to the Arduino NANO. It is also necessary to flash and configure Grbl on the Arduino UNO. Part list: Electronics: - LCD 16x2 I2C Interface - Joystick 2 Axis with intergrated push button - Arduino Uno - Grbl shield - 2x Grbl shield compatible Stepper Motor Driver - Arduino NANO - 20V to 5V Step down (depends on the supply voltage of the motors) - 1x DC panel socket 5.5x2.1mm Mechanical Parts: - Acme Screw T8 2mm pitch - two Acme T8 2mm pitch nuts - Spring that barely fits over the Acme Screw - ER11 collet chuck (fitting to motorshaft) - 4x 14x5x6mm Bearings - a lot of M3,M4 and M5 screws and nuts - 12mm linear rail and carriage - 2 Nema17 Stepper Motors - 20x20mm Aluminium profile
