Cam Clamp Design for Efficient CNC Workholding. To create a reliable cam clamp, I opted for a straightforward approach using a 1/4" bolt and washer to secure it to a T-nut on my spoilboard. This setup provides a stable base for the clamp. One notable feature of this design is its continuous spiral pattern, which differs from traditional offset center designs. As a result, the cam clamp applies even pressure throughout its adjustment range. I chose to fabricate this cam clamp using CNC-milled MDF instead of 3D printing it. For anyone looking to make modifications or adjustments, I've provided a Fusion 360 file for your reference.
