I stumbled upon a model for bolt and nut with knurled interface https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:9095. I liked how it looked, so I decided to modify the nut model to make it into a hand wheel knob for my CNC 3018 X and Z axis, specifically designed for an 8 mm diameter lead screw. It turned out great. The knob's radius is 24 mm and its thickness is 10 mm. It was created with an 8.1 mm hole in the center, which is large enough to allow the knob to fit snugly on the lead screw and easily turn it. Additional security features include holes for 3 mm screws. While I don't think they are necessary, I included them just in case. These holes have a diameter of 2.5 mm and will require threading to accommodate the screws. The screws should be headless and no longer than 5 mm to avoid damaging the plastic threads. To ensure balance, it is recommended to use two screws on each knob.
