CNC 3018 Pro - Wasteboard & Clamps

This is the wasteboard I've built for my CNC Router. I used a 12mm MDF to make this. Added some 4mm blind nuts and attached it to the aluminum base with 4mm screws also. Attached to this are some 3D printed clamps and hold downs that provide a secure fit. All screws and nuts are 4mm in size, ensuring a tight connection. As pictured, I've added a wire to one of the clamps, allowing for easy Z height probe use on PCBs. To create the wasteboard, I asked a friend with a large router to cut some 12mm MDF into 300x180mm blocks. The rest was done by me for the fun of it. Bottom side of the wasteboard: * Waste Board - Bot - Blind Nuts - Holes.svg: Holes for clamp screws * Waste Board - Bot - Blind Nuts - Recess.svg: Recess for blind nuts Top Side of the wasteboard: * Waste Board - Top - Hold Down - Holes.svg: Holes for screws that hold the wasteboard to the aluminum base. * Waste Board - Top - Hold Down - Recess.svg: Recess for screw heads. Measure the screw head height and add 1mm to it so the screw will be at least 1mm lower than the surface. Simple engraved guides 10mm spaced are also present, done with a V-bit at 0.4 deep pass. ##################################################################### Please verify all measures and positions of the holes before drilling and carving the MDF. ##################################################################### There are many CNC Routers available in the market and they may not be identical. These measures worked for me but might not work for you, so please check against your aluminum bed before carving and drilling the MDF.
