CNC 3018 Pro Upgrades
thingiverse
Here's a bunch of parts I made for my 3018 Pro hobby CNC machine, and they're all online now. I used Saur0n's cable chain as a starting point, modified the chain anchor to work with "pro" routers that use a vertical plate instead of an extrusion to hold the gantry in place. I also added a raspberry pi camera above the work piece by modifying the stepper end of the chain. In the past, I used fastkite's X limit switches, but they wouldn't work without fouling the chain, so I had to design something new. While I was at it, I threw together a holder for my z-limit switches (tiny 12.8mm microswitches) which I hot glued to the side of the z-axis. Last but not least, I designed a mount for a raspberry pi on which I run CNC.js to control the router.
