These are 3D printed parts designed to make Optimus EL ballast slugs, utilizing regular PLA for all components. They seem to withstand use remarkably well. The slug itself consists of an outer shell and an inner shell. To assemble the slugs, simply wrap the inner shell with electrical tape and press fit it into the outer shell, eliminating the need for glue altogether. Assemble the slugs using any type of wire similar to the stock ballast. I opted for winch ground line. This results in a ballast weight of approximately 150-160 grams, roughly half that of the factory-made ballast slugs.
