I required custom 6 inch arms for my CMW Merica frame, which necessitated a taller arm design. Specifically, these new arms stand at 6mm tall as opposed to the standard 5mm height found on 5 inch arms. To safeguard these extended limbs, I sought protection in the form of arm guards and other essential components from CMW, a brand I've come to admire and continue supporting. For educational purposes, I replicated their design, making necessary adjustments to suit my specific needs while honing my skills in 3D modeling. Two potential solutions emerged for incorporating these custom arms: - An open bottom hole, mirroring the original CMW design. - A closed bottom hole, which would provide enhanced TPU cushioning and protection against impact.
