I'm using cm calipers (1-25cm) for tabletop gaming (15mm Zona Alfa and Frostgrave). These are accurate as INSIDE calipers, meaning the outer faces measure correctly. Two small rubber bands keep them together and act as a clutch. The holes close to the gauge let you run the band through if it needs to be tighter; in my case, it didn't require it. A twist or zip tie would also work for this purpose. When assembled, the indicator leg is print-side up.
