Cloudray K Series Laser Head Mount / 2nd Mirror Bracket for OMTech K40 Laser Cutter

If you want to use the Cloudray K series mirror mounts and D12 laser head in your OMTech K40, then you'll need a new second mirror bracket and laser head mount. First Mirror Install -------------------- You will need to drill holes and use sheet metal screws to mount the first mirror. I only needed to make two holes to mount mine (the two closest to the laser tube). I have included Not1ofthepack's mirror 1 alignment tool. This is essential to make sure the first mirror is centered with the hole leading to the second mirror. Second Mirror Install ---------------------- The second mirror sits over 10mm too high, so you'll need to replace the bracket with this one that I made from ocieward's model. You can re-use the hex bolts, but you'll need to supply two M4 nuts. You'll also need longer M3 bolts to reach the x-axis motor through the bracket. Laser Head Mount Install ------------------------ I used ITGuruWoo's laser head mount as a base as it allows the use of the pre-installed OMTech drag chain. I made the following changes to the design: • Made the mount more narrow. • Moved the rear mounting hole to the left 1.5mm to line up better with my carriage's hole. • Raised the laser head 4mm to match the first and second mirrors' heights. • Added mounts for attaching two 9mm lasers to enable a crosshair target. • Deleted the two removable supports. This should be printed as is with build plate only supports.
