Raspberry PI case by CloudOver.io This case was designed specifically for the CoreCluster Cloud Starter Kit and is fully compatible with the Raspberry PI model 3B. The design takes inspiration from previous models like the Raspberry Pi 3, Pi 2, and Model B+ cases that featured VESA mounts and more, but it has been completely reimagined without any VESA mounts and created entirely anew. Source Model and Modifications Feel free to reuse this case design as a starting point and create new and innovative designs based on it. You can easily customize the layout by changing your logo, adding text or creating new holes for wires. The attached Blender model includes all the necessary tools and objects required to create more complex designs: Layer 1 - This layer contains the bare case shape without any holes, along with all boolean modifiers. Use these modifiers to generate the final object. Layer 2 - This layer features models that have been modified by applying all the boolean operators in place, ready for export as an STL file with the CloudOver.io logo already included. Layer 3 - This layer contains objects used to cut holes and mounts using boolean operators. In edit mode, you should be able to see that Layer 1 objects are essentially just shells. To adjust shapes, holes, or other parts of this case in Layer 1, modify the objects in Layer 3 as needed. When creating new holes or adding parts, create new Boolean modifiers in Difference or Union mode and select the new object to add or remove from the shells. Remember that shells must be placed exactly where they are in Layer 1; moving them will cause a mismatch with boolean operators and objects from Layer 3. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 by Geeetech Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 50% Notes: Use Slic3r to convert STL files into G-code files. The Octaspiral Top/Bottom fill pattern results in a beautiful pattern on the top and bottom parts of this case. How I Designed This Blender This model is open source, so feel free to modify it as you see fit. Use Blender (from blender.org) to adjust your case design model. You can easily change your logo or add text as needed. TIP 1: Before converting the object to STL and selecting "Export only selected" in the export window, make sure to apply all boolean operators on the object. TIP 2: Sometimes Blender has trouble exporting proper models with open walls. Use Ctrl+N in edit mode on all vertices (Ctrl+A) to ensure consistent normals. If this doesn't work, use the Remesh modifier on the final object.
