Cloud Surfer 2000mm RC Glider Wheel Mount
thingiverse
The Hobby King Cloud Surfer RC Glider has a lightweight build. It features soft foam and some underwhelming designs. As a result, after several landings, the center landing wheel breaks down into the fuselage and stops working altogether. This design replaces the existing axle and outer bearings for the wheel with a protective sleeve (to line the wheel cutout hole) and mounting blocks for the bolt/axle. A washer/spacer is included to keep the wheel centered in the sleeve. Print two of these spacers. You'll need to carve out 26mm x 26mm areas on each side of the wheel to install the new piece. It's suggested you print it first, then remove the existing wheel hardware and see where you need to cut the foam. I installed it using hot glue. You could use contact cement if your gaps are small. You'll require a 4mm bolt, approximately 60 mm long, and a 4mm nylon locknut. One side of the mount is designed to hold the nut. The design might benefit from some refinement here and there, but it fits pretty well and met my needs, so I glued it in place. Feel free to take on the challenge and improve it further.
