CLOTHING-SEAT FOR KAYAK

Kayaking differs from cruise ship visits as it requires a physically demanding effort. The ideal kayak seat should fit perfectly to the body, making it an ergonomic extension. Future evolved kayaks may not have seats at all; instead, paddlers would wear one-piece flotation suits with integrated seating interfaces and various utilities for specific needs. This idea deserves further exploration. The current design doesn't aim to provide a definitive solution but rather envisions a garment made of fabric with rigid elements and built-in hardware. It proposes separating leg pieces for flexibility, connected by stretchable material. Studying buoyancy in both kayak and clothing is essential. The proposal also suggests a fixed, yet removable interface for safety, offering traction while allowing free movement and easy capsizing. This concept takes inspiration from string players and cavers. Essentially, the traditional Eskimo kayak deserves further advancements for enhanced performance.
