Doing laundry is something people often dread. However, everyone has to do it and, unfortunately, there isn't a way to avoid it yet. My goal was to improve this unpleasant task by creating a better solution for hanging clothes which anyone with a cheap 3D printer can make at home. This clothespin not only is printable but also offers several substantial advantages over a regular one. (To visualize these benefits I included a picture of a purchased clothespin). 1. No metal parts mean that there's no risk of corrosion2. It doesn't flip over when it isn't holding anything, because its center of gravity is lower than the clothesline3. It leaves no creased spots on the laundry The print method of choice is FDM because it's very accessible and the printed parts have exactly the right amount of flexibility. I used PLA for my sample but ABS is an option as well if the printer has an enclosure or is standing in a separate, ventilated room. I've been using and testing the clothespin for a week now and so far it has worked perfectly and as intended - no more crumpled areas on my shirts and no falling apart anymore.
