Depending on the weight of your damp load your hanging there comes a tipping point of making the clothesline too tight where the stress is exerted on the end wheels and will cause them to become damaged but then we don’t want our towels ( being the longest item we hang ) resting on the grass. I designed a simple but effective clothesline tension helper that can stay out on the line in all weather conditions with no moving parts to get damaged. simple but yet effective.
