Clothes holder max 2012 fbx 2012 ** polys 52 722 verts 52,200** A clothes holder, jacket holder, or garment hook is a device shaped like: Human shoulders designed to allow for the hanging of a coat, jacket, sweater, shirt, blouse, or dress in a way that prevents wrinkles, with a lower bar for hanging trousers or skirts. Clamp for hanging trousers, skirts, or kilts. Both types can be combined into one holder. The clothing holder was originally designed to provide quick access to clothing and designate an area in the home for keeping clothes organized. It also helped keep clothing dry or wrinkle-free. There are three basic types of clothes holders. The first is the wire holder, which features a simple loop of wire, typically steel, in a flattened triangle shape that continues into a hook at the top. The second is the wooden holder, consisting of a flat piece of wood cut into a boomerang-like shape with sanded edges to prevent damage to clothing, and a metal hook protruding from the point. Some wooden holders have a rounded bar from tip to tip, forming a flattened triangle designed for hanging trousers belonging to jackets. The third kind and most commonly used in today's world are plastic coat holders, which mostly mimic the shape of either a wire or wooden holder. Plastic coat holders are also produced in smaller sizes to accommodate children's clothing. Some holders have clips along the bottom for suspending skirts. Dedicated skirt and trousers holders may not use the triangular shape at all, instead using just a rod with clips. Other holders feature little rings coming from the top two bars to hang straps from tank-tops on. Specialized pant holder racks can accommodate many pairs of trousers. Foldable clothes holders designed to be inserted through the collar area for ease of use and reduction of stretching are an old yet potentially useful variation on traditional clothes holders. They have been patented over 200 times in the U.S. alone, as seen in U.S. Patent 0586456, awarded in 1897 to George E. Hideout.
