I've revised the design to withstand the weight of printing. Anyone with actual experience knows that the stem sheared off because the layer strength is limited - all the weight rested on a tiny outer layer. I've incorporated a "washer" layer beneath the thread and "decorative" layers above, making it virtually impossible to break. Note that it's designed in inches, so scaling up will be necessary for printing. This is a rough replica of a button I acquired for a costume some time ago. Printing multiple copies can make your items look impressive; I'm working on refining the edges, but it's proving challenging. The button hole needs to be smoothed (so it doesn't cut through the thread), while the rest may be smooth enough.
