Upon inspection, I found that the original hinges are made of thin plastic material which proves to be brittle and prone to failure when exposed to even slight winds outside. To replace the faulty hinge, you need to remove the old one by simply pulling out the two tubes it is attached to and then sliding it off. Next, you can insert the new hinge in its place. Using a small amount of adhesive to secure it may be helpful, but a press fit should work just fine since this is how the entire product is typically assembled. I also discovered that the clip holding the support bar in place has to be centered precisely; otherwise, it will have a significant impact on the overall functionality. To address this issue, I plan to add an extra clip so one can be used on each side for added stability and security.
