Closet Rod supports
pinshape
I came home, went to the closet to change and was shocked to find that the clothing rod had collapsed, sending all my clothes tumbling to the floor! Upon further investigation, I discovered that the rod supports had finally failed after years of faithful service. Instead of making a quick trip to the hardware store for a replacement, I decided to take matters into my own hands and design my own solution. I carefully sacrificed my safety net by hanging from the newly installed rod, but it proved to be a sturdy enough test. With new screws firmly in place, I had created a robust system that would withstand even the heaviest loads. The design features a dual-sided configuration, with a right and left side, specifically tailored for curtain rods measuring 34mm in diameter. While it may be possible to adapt this design for slightly larger rods, caution is advised to ensure optimal performance. To maximize stability, I recommend using heavy infill, eliminating the need for additional supports. This not only saves space but also adds to the overall aesthetic appeal of the design. I hope you find this DIY solution as useful as I did, and I encourage you to share your own prints with the community. Your feedback is invaluable in helping me refine my designs and make them more accessible to everyone. Thank you for taking the time to read my post!
