Closet Rod, Hanging Rod, Tension Rod, Shower Curtain Rod

Print this to create a sturdy rod for hanging objects. Ignore the awkward title; it's not about tension, and the device should be called a compression rod, but here they're marketed as tension rods. To hang heavier items, you'll need a tube that can withstand more stress. The end components are robust, so depending on your print method, length, and tube size, you might be able to handle up to 30kg without issues. Test it out and adjust accordingly. A stiff tube is crucial; if it bends easily, the feet will move inward, rendering the device useless. To get started, find a rod or tube with a 20mm outer diameter, or use one of different size and apply the necessary scaling factor. You'll need to print all four parts: one end has a left-hand thread, while the other has a right-hand thread. This allows you to twist the middle of the rod and push both 'feet' outwards, securing the rod in place. Print one of the inner parts first to ensure it fits perfectly onto your tube, then adjust as needed.
