Close Clearance Shapeoko2 Limit/Homing Switch Mounts
thingiverse
These are kind of beta right now - I have several versions but Rev3 is the latest, I've also uploaded some longer arms for the Y switch and am using one of those. So these switch mounts have extremely close clearance on the Y axis - I didn't want to lose any work envelope. They use existing holes and I think I used M3 and M5 hardware. I haven't wired them up yet but had good repeatability testing with a multi-meter (within .1). I also had to modify belt clips so wheels could get this close to the end. I recommend checking out limit switches at http://www.temcoindustrialpower.com/products/Limit_Switches/CN0097.html. Give credit where credit is due, thanks to http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:486796 - I was originally planning on using this but didn't have the right hardware and couldn't get the switch to fit pins. So I made my own using OpenSCAD. I cleaned up some stuff in the Rev2 SCAD file and added a Z Axis switch that doesn't work. The SCAD file has some configuration settings at the top - FLIP_SWITCH flips the switch, Y_TAB makes the Y tab appear or disappear and TAB_OFFSET moves it a little farther along. Using Slic3r with pretty much stock settings, printed in PLA 40%, FILL is set to help with holes and I avoided crossing perimeters to make it easier for printing holes.
