Sheela-na-Gig3d was backed by the Heritage Council of Ireland's funding. This is not a scan but rather an edited photo showcasing intricate details. The sheela in question is currently shrouded in ivy and remains invisible. It sits on private land with restricted access. A unique carving can be found on a quoin stone at Cloghan Castle, measuring approximately 0.6 meters by 0.3 meters. Located at the south angle of this 16th-century tower house lies a sheela carved in relief. She is depicted lying on her back with hands positioned above her legs, which are spread wide apart. Her feet point outward and her toes can be seen on the left foot. Two small breasts are displayed, but they appear uneven in size. A remarkable feature of this carving is its well-preserved headpiece, featuring intricately detailed facial features including eyes, nose, a small patch of facial hair above her upper lip, and an extended tongue.
