CLOGHABRODY - KK028-101----
sketchfab
McManus (1997, 74-5) describes the stone in detail: "It measures approximately 146 cm high, 31 cm wide, and 20 cm thick. The scores are carved deeply into its surface, and the inscription is remarkably well-preserved. It reads from left to right along the top edge, then turns right and continues down the right side in a boustrophedon pattern, before resuming on the left rear edge of the stone. The text can be read as follows: VEDDELLEMETTO MU/CI/LOGIDDEAS / AVVI MUNICCONA... which appears to date back to the first half of the sixth century linguistically." This inscription was discovered in a field known as the "monk's field," located on the western bank of a stream that flows into the River Nore, separating the townlands of Cloghabrody and Columbkille.
