Here are some upgrades I recently added to my Wraith/Clod project to improve its steering and suspension geometry. To tackle this issue, I made two new side plates and five supports. Although all the links remain unchanged, they have been repositioned, with a move of the lower link on the axle. In addition to these changes, I considered replacing the original Wraith axles with Moa Clod units. This got me thinking - what if I created a custom solution based on 4-link Clod Buster axles? That idea really took off! To turn this concept into reality, I fabricated several components myself and then utilized some of the same parts used in the Traxxas MOA. I used part numbers from their catalogue for both the 4-link rods and ball ends. For the suspension duties, I relied on HPI Savage shocks scaled down to fit a smaller build - 1/8th scale to be precise. My next goal will probably be tackling other aspects of this RC build's geometry in hopes that even more performance and precision might become possible with it all done just right!
