Clockwise Mechanism

This is a mechanism that always produces a clockwise output, regardless of which direction you turn the handle. The combination of various gears makes it seem magical, but it's actually just clever engineering. Print out the design and challenge others to figure out how it works! Take a look at the attached photos to see how to assemble the parts: 1. Attach the large blue gears to the orange axis. 2. Place the thin blue components onto the axis. 3. Install the red gears on the axis and secure them with glue - but not the blue pieces! 4. Insert the yellow clip into the blue components. 5. Mount the gear side parts onto the axis, but don't glue them in place. 6. Attach the green gear to the bottom plate using a pin. Secure the pin to the gear, not the plate. 7. Combine the top and bottom parts by gluing the gray pieces at the bottom. 8. Attach the orange arrow to the green gear. 9. Mount the rotating handle on the axis and secure it with glue.
