Clock
thingiverse
This analog clock features a face, hands, and stand; the numerals on the face and hands are made of glow-in-the-dark PLA for visibility during nighttime. The design is created using Sketchup 8 (free version), with .skp files included in the download if you wish to customize the clock face or hands. The hour numbers were initially printed using "Goudy Old Style" font (Mac) at 20mm height, but may print better in bold. During testing, a regular "Goudy Old Style" font (15mm high) was found to print well. Print on a Replicator 2 using ReplicatorG with settings of 20% infill for face and stand, 100% infill for hands, .2 layer height, 1 shell, and default other settings. Assembly involves purchasing "The Clock Shop Item #192427" clock mechanism, pausing the print at around 30% completion to switch to glow-in-the-dark PLA, printing hands with a required #70 hole, assembling stand and face onto the mechanism, and placing the hands on the 12 o'clock position before inserting the battery.
