Clock Mainspring Winder - Clock Repair
thingiverse
This is my attempt to design a 3D printed Mainspring winder for antique clock repair. It is slightly modeled on an Ollie Baker style winder ( see timesavers.com). This winder requires the use of a set of clock spring let downs. They are available from either Timesavers.com or Merritts.com. The winder requires the following hardware to assemble. Body Screws: Holes are sized for #8 x 1 1/4" screws (15) End bracket to dove tail rails: M5 nuts and bolts (2) Brake: 1/4 20 x 1.5" bolt and wingnut Pin on TailStock: 1/4 20 x 3" bolt and 2 -1/4 20 nuts. I cut the hex head off the bolt and had to add some theads. All thread rod would probably work. Crank handle: 1/4 20 bolt and nut. Use Thread locker on the nut to keep it from loosening.
