Case for a Low-Cost Digital Clock Kit Available on eBay for Approximately $2.50 I recently acquired a digital clock kit from eBay that costs around $2.50, and this project is an excellent opportunity for practicing soldering skills. The electronics are covered nicely by this case. Although I'm no longer working on this project, it still requires some refinements. When I ran the clock using three AA batteries, it lasted only two days, which led me to believe that running it from a battery source might not be the most suitable option. I would like the case to have a socket for connecting a power supply, but unfortunately, I don't have enough time to continue modifying the design. v4 (Current Design): * The entire part has been re-designed using OpenSCAD software with user variables. * An optional compartment for AA batteries has been added. * There are two options available for mounting the PCB: either a screw or a plastic rivet can be used. * The buttons have been combined into one piece that is glued to the top section of the case. * A lip has been added to make it easier to attach the two parts together. * Licensing information and contact details have been included in the SCAD files. v3: * The display lip was corrected. * Connection parts were fixed. * Button holes were shifted closer to directly above the buttons. * Thicknesses of both pieces' bases were evened out. * Buttons were added to fit into the button holes.
