Clock Housing
thingiverse
This is a housing for the clock kit I purchased from BangGood. The kit can be found at: http://www.banggood.com/DIY-DS1302-Rotation-LED-Electronic-Clock-Kit-51-SCM-Learning-Board-p-956298.html However, they now sell a modified version of the kit. But I decided to design a box for it instead, as it sounded like a fun project. The finished product turned out really nice. Unfortunately, one feature that I was disappointed with is that it only displays time in 24-hour format. I found instructions for the build on this page: It came with metric spacers but since I don't have any metric hardware, I ended up using #4 spacers, which are 5/8" long. The housing length was designed around this specific spacer type. Additionally, when assembling the board, I accidentally mounted the switches on the front, instead of placing them in a more discreet location. But since it looked just as good either way, I decided to leave them there and added some buttons to accommodate their placement. I sourced 2.5mm acrylic sheets from McMaster-Carr for this project. All of my design files are saved in Inventor format. If you need step files, please let me know and I can send those your way.
With this file you will be able to print Clock Housing with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Clock Housing.
