Clock (for 3D print)
grabcad
This initial model requires improvement; it's inspired by Brian Law's wooden clocks. The project is designed for a 200x200 3D printer bed, with pendulum parts to be divided. Brass tubes (6mm diameter) are needed for assembly. The printed casing will house lead as weight but may still be too light, requiring adjustment post-assembly. A wooden version is planned next. Thanks to Prof. Constantin Stăncescu for the escapement description. Update: Due to printer failure, a plywood prototype is being made with improvements like increased weight and wheel diameter, lighter pendulum, stronger mainframe, and new models will be uploaded after resolving these issues. A video simulation of the clock is also available. Note: If you need more than 60 words, please let me know and I can provide a longer response.
