Clock
thingiverse
This design was inspired by Rabun0510's "Curve Clock". During the process of adding a stepper drive to his design, I found myself starting from scratch with my own gear designs. Clocks are truly fascinating machines to explore. This clock design serves as an exercise in mechanics, electronics and math (calculating precise gear ratios to accurately display hours/minutes/seconds). STL parts were designed with ample clearance (allowing for around 0.005" blooming seen on most printers). Most parts require no supports if properly oriented. Parts allow for two configurations: manual hand-crank (no electronics necessary) and stepper motor Arduino driven. I have built four of these for young students and included graphics on the front face (changing filament to achieve color change). A plain front face STL is also included.
With this file you will be able to print Clock with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Clock.
