ClipTech compatible latch for Craftsman tape measure
thingiverse
I don't recommend printing this as it is now, there are a bunch of small things that need to be fixed (but if you're willing to deal with them, go right ahead!)Due to the geometry of the actual latch, I tried printing flat (tape measure side down) so the spring doesn't just break the first time you try to use it.Of course, supports are recommendedI made this by combining some simple geometry with my base clip modelInstallationIn my case, I have a 25 foot Craftsman, and the original clip is held on by a single screw. All you need to do is remove that single screw and this print should fit snugly.Pictures 2 and 3 show the general process, but don't do what I did and rip the print in half when removing supports :)This is my only tape measure, so I can't ensure this is compatible with any other tape measure
