Clippy thing!
thingiverse
I was experimenting to find out just how tiny an object my printer (The incredible Prusa i3 MK2) could reliably produce that would fit snugly onto another, with the initial goal of creating a fiddle toy that resembled fabric in its movement. It turned out that the printer could print even smaller than I expected, but the material's strength was often the weak link. Every time I printed a sheet of these clips, the kids would immediately take them away to play, so I decided to share it on Thingiverse for others to enjoy as well! Disclaimer (and possibly shameless promotion) Your first layer and the accuracy of your printer are crucial for successful printing at this scale (Each piece measures 8.5mm along its longest side). I recommend starting with the pair or the 4x4 version. The Prusa handles it effortlessly, but if you're unable to print it correctly, try scaling it up a bit. Once you've got it just right, print the 10x10 version for maximum clippy fun! Suggestion: Print multiple sheets in different colors and then mix and match them to create patterns! It's also possible and enjoyable to make block shapes by folding up the sides and clipping them together as a square tube.
