Clipped Wing Spitfire MK XVI with Bubble Canopy. First attempt editing with Meshmixer to make an R/C model #MadeInBelgium #IWantToMakeThis Instructions Scour the internet for your favorite plane in STL or OBJ format. Download it and open in Meshmixer. Cut the model into wings and front and back body sections. Perform a boolean subtraction of a beam along the length of the plane. Create rods and subtract them from the wings and tail. Use Ctrl-Z and Ctrl-C to cut the wings, undoing them as you go. Save each wing separately and then substract a rod for a motor or spinner axle in the nose. In this model, I have omitted the air catchers under the wings due to accidental deletion. With Meshmixer, be cautious not to lose the cut section. This is where Ctrl-Z and Ctrl-C come into play. You must cut, copy the remaining part, undo, paste it back in place, then use it to align your new cutting points. The tailwing's rear rod has been misplaced high and will protrude through the wing surface. However, a seasoned model builder should have no trouble fixing this issue.
