Clip Xperia XZ Premium to Brodit

This clip is designed for installation on a Brodit holder with standard drill holes. Typically you purchase a car-specific base plate that snaps into air ducts or holes in the cockpit, then buy a smartphone specific clip and connect it to the base plate, so that any smartphone fits any car. This clip allows you to use the Sony Xperia XZ Premium with your car's baseplate if you've recently changed your phone but not your car. The clip has a hole on the side where you can insert the charging cable; you just need to attach it using hot glue or leave it detachable, whichever suits your preference. It is a snug fit that requires minimal pressure to slide in the Xperia. The lower rail or guide features an extra notch to keep the right button(s) clear during the sliding process, preventing them from being touched or held down. The size of less than 12cm makes it suitable for printing with smaller printers like my Snapmaker. The fingerprint-sensitive on/off button and volume buttons are still accessible, but the hardware cam button is not. I've uploaded two versions: one with a German phrase like "Have a good trip!" and one without any text. If you'd like, I can personalize your plate with text or other embossed designs, similar to a saint's badge for Catholics or a lucky charm for those who are superstitious. To make this holder sturdy, I recommend using 25% infill; however, since there is minimal pressure on the weakest parts - the side rails - you can adjust the infill rate to your liking. The side rails consist mainly of walls rather than infill, so they can tolerate some variation in infill density. Edit: I've noticed that my PLA print shrunk after two or three days in my car, making the holder too tight. I've uploaded a revised version with increased tolerances on the rail to accommodate this issue. You should insert tape into the upper rail to adjust its width to your preference. When the print starts to shrink, simply remove some of the tape. So: Download the original "Xperia_Brodit_pure.stl" for a snug fit that may work for you or download "Xperia Brodit v2.stl" for a wider holder with adjustable width. Edit after some hot summer days: Hot glue can become soft in a hot car, so I recommend not using it on the stick. Instead, use hot glue sparingly to attach the plug and then apply any hard adhesive.
