I assembled the z-axis limit switches onto the z-axis linear rods, which functioned adequately except for one issue - the rods can rotate, causing the limit switches to move out of calibration and triggering problems. To address this issue, I designed a clip that attaches to the holes in the top support for the z-axis linear rods. Initially, these holes were intended to have plates screwed over them to prevent the rods from falling out, but I never completed this task. This clip not only stops the rod from turning but also prevents it from falling out. All screws and nuts are M3 threads of varying lengths. Since one side's limit switches are more critical than the other, I only printed a single clip for that side, accepting potential issues with the rod on the opposite side rotating. Several design variations exist, featuring different mounting holes and screw head configurations for the clamp and nut. After capturing this photo, I repositioned the clip under the acrylic support instead of its original location, which allowed it to securely grasp more of the rod and made it extremely difficult to shift.
