This spool holder is specifically designed for use with 3/4" wood or dimensionally equivalent materials measuring 1"x -- ". Two hangers are required to ensure the spool mounting system functions properly; please print two units. If you're using a glass bed and prefer the shiny side facing outward, print one unit flipped in opposition to the other. Once both units have been printed, a piece of 1/2" Schedule 40 pipe will be needed. This pipe must be cut to your preferred length. If you desire to cut the pipe longer, it's recommended that you use one hanger for each filament spool and add an additional unit for each spool. For example, one spool would require two units, while two spools would necessitate three units, and so on. Cut the PVC pipe to your desired length. It is advisable to either wrap the pipe ends with a thick rubber band or use PVC end caps to prevent the PVC pipe from shifting out of the hanger. Gravity will hold it in place, but some spools may create more friction, potentially causing the PVC to shift. This securing method would effectively prevent such movement. When attaching the PVC pipe to the hangers, ensure that it overhangs by at least 3/4" to 1". I successfully printed this design using S3D on a CR-10S with the following settings: 30% infill, four shells, an initial layer temperature of 215C, a print temperature of 200C, and a heated bed temperature of 60C set to Magigoo covered glass.
