I've opted for a sleek, efficient design that seamlessly integrates basic 608RS skateboard truck ball bearings (22mm outer diameter x8mm inner diameter x 7mm height). These modular bearing designs have proven to be the top choice for most purposes. I've previously used bearings and believed they would provide the smoothest extrusion possible. With these bearings, you can set any width spool and clip onto a 1x2. To assemble, print two copies with an infill of more than 20 percent and have four 608 bearings on hand. Simply snap them together for a hassle-free build. This design is compatible with the Original Prusa MK2.5 printer.
