Clip On Rolls
myminifactory
There are two distinct sizes of vaguely U-Shaped clips, each designed to accommodate a specific orientation - either parallel (long) or perpendicular (short). Minimal adjustments are necessary for the wood itself, but the tolerances are incredibly precise at just 1mm, which requires a snug fit with the 18mmx38mm configuration. The majority of their holding power stems from their surface area, yet an additional feature was incorporated - a small in-step added to the back for enhanced security. A universal dowel is used to hold filament rolls, and everything has been carefully oriented to minimize support usage; however, some support will still be required for the tracks on the clips, as well as possibly the parallel holes. The dowel itself fits tightly into the holes in the parallel insert to prevent wobbling due to excessive filament use. To ensure a smooth removal process, it's recommended to slot the dowel one hole at a time on a table, rather than attempting to do so directly on the clip. A square piece at the back of the dowel serves as both a handle for easy removal and an insert for the track of the perpendicular clip. Some minor modification is expected for the holes of the parallel clip due to the extremely tight clearance required.
