Clip on paper holder

The latest Version 5 upgrade brings several exciting improvements. One notable enhancement is a more precise paper location, achieved through a shorter and slimmer design that also includes an additional stand. This user-friendly paper holder can accommodate both A4 and A3 paper, whether they're oriented in landscape or portrait mode. Its versatility allows it to be placed directly on a desk or clipped onto a laptop/tablet when space is limited. The paper holder is versatile enough for various applications such as holding engineering drawings/designs, music scripts, recipes in the kitchen, artwork, display units, menus, data input/reports, and more. To use it, simply clip your paper first and then slide it onto your laptop/tablet. The spring action will automatically grip the paper firmly. To remove, slide off and unclip. For added convenience, three different sizes are provided to accommodate laptops of varying thicknesses, up to 12mm (1/2 inch). The OpenScad file included allows for customization to suit individual needs. The stand, while optional, offers increased stability when using the paper holder on a table top, particularly useful for A3 size paper. However, it's not required for attachment to a laptop. If you appreciate this design, don't forget to give me a like. Also, feel free to check out my other creations by visiting https://www.thingiverse.com/Ken_Applications/designs. Thank you and enjoy! Customize Your Own Paper Holder Instructions: 1. Download OpenScad from http://www.openscad.org/downloads.html. 2. Run the attached file, "Paper_Holder.scad." 3. Adjust parameters to suit your specific needs. 4. Press F5 to compile the model. 5. Wait for it to finish compiling. 6. Press F6 to render and save the STL file for printing. Typical parameters that worked well for me include: * Alter_spring_gap = 4 (range: 0 to 7) * paper_gap = 0.2 * thickness = 20 * grip_end_L1 = 20 * grip_end_L2 = 17 * grip_radius = 13 Note that these values may need adjustment depending on your printer's capabilities and the specific requirements of your project.
