The original links for MTC pickup bodies are notoriously difficult to install and remove, requiring a print in TPU to function as shock absorbers. To overcome this challenge, I designed an improved link system that integrates seamlessly with my simple roll cage (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3118459). This new design enables the links to be printed in PLA while still providing damping ability to safeguard the pickup truck body against crashes or rollovers. Moreover, the system is engineered for effortless installation and removal without any tools. I created a snap-on structure incorporating springs that absorb impact energy when it occurs. If the force exceeds the limit, either the snap-on component may detach or the spring may fracture, thereby providing maximum protection to the pickup body. The "gray" block will be permanently bonded to the pickup body. This block connects with the "red" link via a screw and hex nut. Reprinting the small "red" part is all that's required if it breaks.
