Clip for Piano Music Shelf to keep Music Books open
thingiverse
When playing music from song books on the piano, often it is annoying that the song book doesn't stay open and closes or scrolls through the pages on its own. While looking for existing solutions, I found a clip which is slided on the music shelf. The clip has a finger to keep the music in place. The idea of the design is to have a clip with a finger at its front end. The finger can be turned on the clip. In order to minimuze the size of the design, the "plain bearing" (which is intended to have enough friction!) in the design is created by pint-in-place. Hence, the thing mus be printed with the hinge face down. Between the clip and the piano I use a strip of 1mm foam (Moosgummi). The design works for me, but be aware that - the design might need adjustments for the music shelf of your piano and the thickness of some fome layer between the clip and the shelf, and - the clearances and gaps in this Print-In-Place design depend on your printer and slicer. The design is Print-In-Place, so the clearances must match you nozzle type and printer / slicer settings. The settings in the files are godd for an Anycubic I3 Mega (Nozzle diameter = 0.4mm, layer height = 0.2mm)
