Clip for bearing 608
thingiverse
This was a past project of mine that required some specific parts to assemble a custom machine. At the time, I needed clips to secure "skateboard" bearings model 608 onto a piece of wood for a DIY device. The housing itself isn't designed for heavy-duty or high-force applications; it's more suited for simple, low-stakes DIY projects and experiments. This particular clip allows the bearing to move freely in two directions, but if your application demands that the bearing be protected from being pulled out sideways, you'll need a different solution. In my case, I used silicone glue to secure the bearing in place - it's not the most elegant solution, but it works for DIY purposes. Note: The 608 bearing model was sourced from Warehouse and is not an original design of mine.
