The fungal apocalypse is near, and it's up to Joel to navigate a world overrun by infected humans transformed by a deadly strain of Cordyceps brain fungus. The clickers, as they're known, are aggressive and nearly impossible to kill, with their insatiable hunger for human flesh driving them to attack at every opportunity. As Joel treks through the post-apocalyptic wasteland, he must use his wits and whatever resources he can scrounge up to survive against the hordes of clickers that seem to be everywhere. The fungus itself is a constant threat, spreading its tendrils deep into the brains of its hosts, controlling their actions with an iron grip.
