This second Trapper rodholder challenge entry boasts a holder that's easier to manufacture, lighter in weight, and designed better with fewer moving parts for quicker adjustment at lower costs. Mounted on the canoe's edge, it allows users to cast lines easily and secure their fishing rods in desired positions. Made of materials like rubber, cork, stainless steel, spring steel, and aluminum, this holder features a self-clamping spring steel base that attaches without screws, while its corck-padded, stainless steel holder shaped like a fish reduces weight without compromising strength. A locknut fabricated from aluminum with six bars for easier operation and a thread system similar to plastic bottle caps simplifies the adjustment process. Recycled rubber rings clamp the holder in place, while additional pads made of recycled rubber or cork provide support. Finally, powder coating is recommended for paint-related finishing touches due to its benefits like low VOC emissions and high material usage efficiency.
